 Kitchen exhaust cleaning
Kitchen exhaust cleaning (often referred to as "filters, hood cleaning") is the process of removing grease that has accumulated inside the filters, hoods, ducts, fans and vents of exhaust systems of commercial kitchens. Left unclean, kitchen exhaust systems eventually accumulate enough grease to become extreme fire hazards. Exhaust systems must be inspected regularly, at intervals consistent with usage, to determine whether or not cleaning needed before a dangerous amount of grease has accumulated.

 Cleaning processes
Kitchen exhaust systems are cleaned with either caustic chemicals or hot water pressure-washing. Some cleaners use both methods depending on the application and availability of tools.

 Caustic chemicals
Caustic chemicals can be applied to break down the grease. After that, hot water can be used to rinse away the residue. Chemicals are generally applied with either a garden type sprayer, downstream injection through a pressure washer or with a chemical foamer. Once the chemicals are applied, they are allowed to dwell on the surface of the grease for a period of time, before being washed off of the surface with hot water. In extreme situations, where grease buildup is too heavy for a chemical application and a rinse, scrapers may be used to remove excess buildup from the contaminated surfaces, before chemicals are applied.

Kitchen Ventilation Tips, Tricks and Technologies
The exhaust hood in your kitchen is supposed to capture all the heat, smoke and grease generated by the cooking equipment. But if it fails to do its job, heat, smoke and grease will spill out into the kitchen making it less comfortable for your staff. And in many cases, undesirable odors and excess heat will make their way into the dining room.
You can optimize your kitchen exhaust system, save money and make your kitchen more comfortable with a few simple, low cost tricks that will be discussed during this informational seminar.

Cleaning Baffle Grease Filter with Caustic soda is a powerful degreasing agent and its colloidal action removes oil, grease, etc. more efficiently than the usual degreasing agents such as soap solution or ordinary washing soda

Method to clean the baffle filters Technical

Take a SS Tank / Plastic Drum and add 20.00 liters of water and 0.50kg of caustic soda and dip as many as five to six filter in the solution, after some time take the brush to clean all the baffle slot. once the cleaning is complete clean the filter with running tap water.

Note:- Please use hand gloves while cleaning the filters with caustic soda

With this in mind COOLWAYS manufacture a vertical design tank, with a Drain valve. It is manufactured in 18 Gauge Stainless steel Grade 304, with an approximate size of 24”Length X 20” Width X 30” Height
